Kent Open Pairs Final 2007

I had just been watching Chrissy Manley and Sherrie Dodd lose their Pairs final to Apylee Jones and Joan Parmley when the Men's Pairs final got underway. Tough game I thought as Ross And Conan lined up against John (Boy) Walton and Paul Gibbs. Both players had been on the World Professional Lakeside Stage barely a fortnight previously. Not showing a shred of nerves the lads tucked into the game like a walk in the park. As Ross finished the first leg the 2 Lakeside big guns watched their 174 remaining score, wiped off in readiness for the next leg. I watched on in sheer pleasure as our young Kent heroes never gave their opponents a look in.  Great game lads, a classic, enjoy the memory, I will.
